Dance Well is a flagship EU-funded project on dance, care, health, and wellbeing. Implemented by six dance development and two research organisations across Europe, the partnership supports innovative approaches to wellbeing and social cohesion through movement practices.

Teaching Course

Project activities include an intensive teaching course for dance artists, choreographers, and movement practitioners, who wish to develop their practice to benefit the community of people living with Parkinson's and other movement or neurological disorders.

Dance Well Classes

The project partner organisations offer regular Dance Well classes, which are open to the general public. Dance Well classes are specifically designed for people living with movement disorders, their carers, and their close ones. They are free of charge, and no previous dance experience is required.

Knowledge Exchange

The community of Dance Well participants, artists, staff, and facilitators takes part in monthly meetings to share skills, strategies, and knowledge. Each team co-designs the knowledge exchange meetings with dramaturg Monica Gillette. So far, the meetings have explored topics like touch boundaries, processing emotions, co-leadership, and more.

Podcast Series

The Dance Well Podcast is a series of six episodes, each dedicated to the creative processes and production of performances by international choreographers working with the Dance Well communities in each city of the project.
