The festival is an important platform which shines a light on new creations from both Ireland and abroad. It enables artists to connect with local audiences and provides a special space for interaction and creative exchange.

In 2023, EDN members Dance Limerick and Dance Ireland will host, together with the European Dancehouse Network, a two-day EDN Atelier "Dancing on the Edge: Peripheral Practices" which allows organisers the opportunity to welcome some of the international peers and artists to Limerick and for them to see some of Limerick’s best cultural spaces.

A rich programme of performances will include VR performance Francis Footwork by CoisCéim Dance Theatre, a video installation by dance artist Angie Smalis at the Limerick City Gallery of Art, a site-specific piece by Magda Hylak at Cleeves factory as well as three mixed bills at Dance Limerick Church from Irish and international dancers including Aerowaves artists Alexandre Fandard and Courtney May Robinson. The festival will close with the event on Saturday evening, a dance party for all ages and abilities to end the week with a bang.
