About the Call

EDN member la briqueterie is the National Choreographic Development Centre, a not-for-profit association whose mission is to promote choreographic creation and artist development (through co-productions, studio space and artists’ residencies), transnational programmes and participatory activities to foster and support dance at multiple levels and for diverse audiences. It collaborates at a local and national level with partner theatres, third level education institutions, museums and other organisations.

Creation residencies at la briqueterie are open to companies (French and international) with a legal structure. It can involve a co-production contribution and/or a technical support, or be a simple loan. 

Open call start: April 26, 2022
Deadline for submitting applications: June 15, 2022 
Final announcement of the selected projects: end of July 2022
Residencies period: 2023
Duration of residency: from 1 to 6 weeks

La briqueterie’s commission pays particular attention to artistic projects involving long-term residencies. Projects likely to be part of the annual highlight “Excentriques”, or within the Dance Biennale of Val-de-Marne will be given priority.
