TANZAHOi International Festival: Call for Digital Dance Projects and Livestreams

Organisers are searching for dance films, dance streams, and digital dance projects for the 2022 edition of TANZAHOi International Festival, DIGI play DANCE. The festival will host events live in Hamburg and online September 9–18, 2022.

The open call offers two opportunities for digital and multi-media dance artists. The organisers are looking for:

• International/national dance stream performances that will be streamed live from the location of the artists to the screen at Metropolis Kino in Hamburg between September 9–11, 2022. The festival is interested in showing existing productions, but also in stimulating new productions conceived especially for TANZAHOi. A maximum of €4000 will be given to realise the stream performance.

• International/national digital dance projects that work with new technology and digital innovation such as VR, AR, AI, or 360º camera. The projects will be presented between September 14–18, 2022 at LICHTHOF Theater in Hamburg and can be presented in the form of installations, performances, screenings, VR experiences, etc. Up to €6000 will be given to realise the digital projects.

The main interest of the project selection for this open call lies with the possibility of transformation from the third dimension to other dimensions (VR, 3D animation, 360° camera, film, stream, etc.) without losing any information.
