#DanceAndWellBeing
Nov 2020 - Feb 2021

Dancing our way through the pandemic

#DanceAndWellBeing campaign was iniated by EDN to highlight the essential role of dance in our societies and in maintaining our physical and mental wellbeing.

With weekly online dance classes led by EDN members associated artists we opened the space to everyone, not just dancers. Participation on dance classes via Zoom was free of charge and no prior dancing skills were required. Dance classes took place from November 2020 to February 2021.

Placing Wellbeing on the map of post-pandemic cultural policy priorities

The campaign ended with a publication of the Dance and Wellbeing research paper, exploring how dance organizations impact and develop artistic practices by increasing individual and relational well-being, vehiculating values related to solidarity, cohesion and equity, while promoting intercultural dialogue.

#Danceandwellbeing online classes

The weekly online dance classes were attended by over 600 participants of all ages and from all over Europe. The classes were conducted by EDN members' associated artists, sharing their artistic practices in an online space. We thank all the artists and dancers for coming together to share and support each other through difficult times.
