Amid the second lockdown, attempting to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, we long to keep dancing. Reintroducing restrictions in practicing, rehearsing and presenting dance across Europe represents yet another blow to the dance sector. 

Dance artists, organisations, and independent professionals are fighting to survive the crisis and one thing is certain: there will be a long road to recovery for everyone contributing to the dance ecosystem.

#DanceAndWellBeing campaign, iniated by EDN and its members wants to reaffirm the essential role of dance in our societies and in maintaining our physical and mental wellbeing.

With weekly online dance classes led by EDN members associated artists we open the space to everyone, not just dancers. Participation on dance classes via Zoom is free of charge and no prior dancing skills are required. Dance classes will take place from November 2020 to February 2021.

Perform Europe’s call for international touring and distribution grants is now open

15 June - 7 July 2021

The applications for step 1 are open until 7 July at 23:59 CEST on the Perform Europe Digital Platform.

This call is open to all performing arts producers (organisations, companies, artists, collectives) and presenters (venues, festivals and any type of organisation offering a presenting context) based in all the Creative Europe countries and in the UK. We are particularly trying to reach out to all the professionals who belong / feel like they belong to an underrepresented group within the performing arts landscape.
