DeVIR CAPa, performing arts centre in Algarve, Portugal, announced an open call for Ukrainian artists in writing, illustration and contemporary dance. 

Where do we COME FROM, where are we GOING?

This is the motto for the next edition of DeVIR Encontros, a thematic art Festival, in hybrid format (live + online), dedicated to raising awareness on social and environmental ecology. You can read more about Encontros here.

The open call for Ukrainian artists includes three different opportunities:

Writing - commissioned remotely:

• production and voice recording of an original text (7-lOmin reading)
• €750 fee
• delivery until the 30th of June

illustration - commissioned remotely:

• production and recording of an original live illustration (7-lOmin long)
• €1000 fee
• delivery until the 31st of August

Contemporary dance residency:

• production, premiere and at least 3 live shows
• 20-30min solo performance 
• 1 week of residency at CAPa
• total fee €4100
• guarantee: accommodation + food + travel expenses by public transport + technical team + light designer
• residency dates 16th to 22nd of October 2023
• setup and premiere 23rd to 25th of October 2023
