The Atelier is hosted by Dance Ireland and Dance Limerick and will take place on 9 and 10 February 2023 during the What Next Dance Festival in Limerick. Throughout the two days participants will explore, through discussion and practice, what it means to be on the periphery; geographically, culturally and socially through the lens of creative, community and curatorial dance practices. La Briqueterie will host an EDN Atelier within the 22nd edition of the Biennale de danse du Val-de-Marne on 22 and 23 March 2023. It will revolve around themes such as equity, human rights and freedom of expression. How can artists and professionals seize the principle of equity in creation, in their relations with the public and in international collaborations? There will be space for both EU and non-EU perspectives, artistically and beyond. For more information click here.

EDN Carte Blanche Exchange

EDN Carte Blanche Artist Exchange in Torino, Italy (22-26 May 2023)

From 22 to 26 May 2023, Lavanderia a Vapore will host a Carte Blanche Artist Exchange, a 4-day exchange of artistic practises. During Carte Blanche, participants will explore EDN's annual theme of equity looking at systemic barriers set by prevailing ableism. Led by disabled artists, we aim to open spaces where they can raise their voices and shift our gaze from disabled bodies to the disabling conditions that limit experiences and opportunities. Starting from artistic practise as a space for reperforming alternatives and expand the spectrum of possibility, we aim to heal social scars and harvest learnings that can stimulate and inform cultural policy and the political sphere in general. More information will be announced soon.

EDN Carte Blanche Staff Exchange (January 2023 - November 2023)

EDN offers its members the opportunity to visit other dancehouses; an opportunity for peer-to-peer learning, an informal insight into production and artistic processes, a new know-how and knowledge. EDN members can choose to visit another dancehouse in person or to be connected with their peers online via a matchmaking process with the EDN Office. For more information click here

Online Coffee Meetings (EDN members only, first Friday of the month)

On the first Friday of every month from 10-11am CET, a member of the EDN Board of Directors will host an informal coffee meeting online for teams from all member dancehouses. This is the time and place for EDN members to get to know each other, discuss a topic close to their hearts and share their ideas.
