The European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists empowers festivals and offers emerging artists a platform to establish themselves on the international stage.

EFFEA extends an open invitation to festivals to collaborate across borders and build a supportive network dedicated to nurturing the success of emerging artists.

Who can benefit from this fund?

Festivals

Festivals can expand their professional network, collaborate with peers, discover new programmes and new artists, and provide financial support to promote the work of emerging artists at a European level.

Emerging Artists

Artists, who are invited by the festivals, will be provided with time and space to develop ideas, access a network of programmers and local artists in different countries, attend residencies, seminars and workshops, gain European visibility, build capacity and access new contexts to present their work.

Audiences

As a result of this exchange, audiences will discover new talents and repertoire and gain access to diverse and interdisciplinary works all over Europe.

Coming Up Next

Between 1 June 2024 and 31 May 2025, 57 emerging artists and 159 festivals selected under EFFEA Call #3 are working on their residency programmes throughout Europe and beyond.

The next EFFEA Call will be announced in the second half of 2025 and will support residencies occurring in 2026. More details will be available soon. To stay updated, you can visit the project's news section.
