Dance for Young Audiences: European Touring Models and Structures of Artistic Work

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in Germany in the production of dance pieces for young audiences - a trend that has long been observed in other European countries and can therefore look back on an evolved structure.

The transnational network Dance for Young Audience - explore dance (with EDN members K3 Zentrum für Choreographie and HELLERAU), which has been in existence since 2018, has therefore set itself the goal of developing and strengthening the field of dance for young audiences nationwide through the production, mediation and reception of dance pieces at a high artistic level.

With a first digital event series, the organisers draw attention to dance networks and dance institutions in other European countries to present best practice models in the touring field. The Zoom series is intended to serve both the exchange and the networking of partner institutions throughout Europe.

Participating institutions, including EDN members Le Gymnase CDCN, Danshallerne, The Place and Mercat de les Flors, will report on touring models and present country-specific topics and ideas. You can register by emailing info@explore-dance.de and find more information about the project here. Please indicate for which dates you would like to register, more detailed information to each session will follow.
