Dance and the performing arts generate what appear to be ephemeral experiences. However, they tend to stay with our bodies long after the show is over.

Cultural mediation plays a crucial role in shaping how we experience dance, influencing the ways in which meaning is created, shared, and interpreted.

Mediation practices in dance can take many forms—ranging from educational programs and community engagement to interpretive materials and participatory projects—all aiming to bridge the gap between the work and its audience.

Within this context, it's important to ask: where do the audience and especially the youth fit into this conversation? How are their voices, perspectives, and experiences being included or perhaps overlooked in the evolving landscape of dance mediation?

Project Partnership

With the support of INAEM (Spanish Arts Council) and our Spanish members, EDN is developing one-off activities to identify the specific needs of the sector and disseminate the network's activities and resources among artists and other dance professionals in Spain.
