EDN – European Dance Development Network is looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager to lead the transition from EDN’s current website to a newly designed WordPress platform delivered by an external agency. This freelance role will steer a multi-stakeholder project, ensuring a structured, efficient, and timely migration with link integrity preserved and a robust archive of all content (published and unpublished).

EDN is a Europe-based cultural network connecting dance development organisations and professionals across Europe. We work with our members to strengthen contemporary dance through exchange, visibility, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy.

Main focus of the assignment

This is a hands-on, project-based role focused on managing workflows, coordinating contributors, and overseeing the website transition process from planning to implementation. You will coordinate with the EDN team, the development agency, and service providers, and lead the migration and archive plan. Responsibilities include:

Project management and coordination

  • Leading the transition from the current website to the new platform.
  • Creating and managing timelines, workflows, and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinating internal team members, external suppliers, and service providers.
  • Tracking progress and reporting regularly.


Content and structure coordination

  • Define and implement an archive strategy.
  • Support the preparation, migration, and organisation of website content.
  • Advise on structure, information hierarchy, and user experience.
  • Oversee quality control and testing phases.

 

Digital organisation oversight

  • Guiding archive and assets transfer.
  • Ensuring documentation, clarity, and future usability.


Research and consultation

  • Identifying best-practice models for structure and UX.
  • Advising on design-informed decisions that support user journeys.

Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is based in Europe and is comfortable working remotely.
  • Is fluent in English (additional European languages welcome).
  • Has solid experience in web project management (digital content, UX, structural planning, migration, coordination).
  • Has proven track record managing website rebuilds/migrations (WordPress preferred), including content model planning, migration, redirects, and agency/vendor coordination.
  • Is organised, proactive, and able to plan and deliver independently.
  • Has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Works as a self-employed/freelance professional with their own tools.
  • Has an affinity with the cultural field (experience in dance or the arts is a plus).

Duration: 4 months
Contract type: freelance / service contract

Fee: total fee €9,000 gross (all tax included), paid in instalments linked to project milestones
