At the EDN General Assembly on 3 July 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming two new members to our network of dance development organisations in Europe.
PLAST - Slovak Contemporary Dance Platform is a grassroots organisation of independent Slovak dance artists. It was created to contribute to the creation of sustainable infrastructure and institutions for contemporary dance and systematically work on its growing visibility as a respected art form and a vital part of Slovak society.
SÍN Arts Centre is a production house dedicated to equality and sustainability based in Budapest, Hungary. The mission of SÍN Arts Centre is to create a safe space for artistic development with a focus on transparency and horizontality. SÍN collaborates with the makers in their artistic processes, offers production management, and accompanies their career development.
With the two new additions to the network, EDN now represents 54 member organisations in 28 countries in Europe, advocating for the recognition of dance art, better working conditions in dance, and better dance infrastructure in Europe and beyond.
