The CN D Centre national de la danse and the Maison de la danse in Lyon are joining forces to offer artists and professionals from the choreographic sector an Atelier dedicated to the question of local advocacy and cooperation at the European level.

Participants will be invited to share their perspectives and experiences through practical work, reflection, and exchange, with the aim of collectively envisioning new models of cooperation, commitment, and representation by examining how the practices and language of the choreographic sector can become powerful advocacy tools.

Rethinking Cooperation, Support and Advocacy for the Future of Dance

Through parallel breakout sessions, participants will explore key challenges and opportunities in the dance and cultural sector.

Topics include building resilience through cross-border and public-private collaborations, imagining new sustainable funding models, and understanding how collective artistic practices shape future cooperation. Additional discussions will focus on effective advocacy strategies, the political recognition of dance, and how movement-based practices can become powerful tools for social and political change.
