Bora Bora invites international audiences and dance field professionals to visit the second edition of the Move Your Mind Festival at Bora Bora (1-24 November 2022). More information here.
K3 Zentrum für Choreographie invites international dance field professionals to attend Zoom series on best touring models, organized in framework of the transnational network Dance for Young Audience - explore dance (7 Oct - 2 Dec 2022). Amongst participating institutions which will report on touring models, EDN members Mercat de les Flors, Danshallerne, The Place and Le Gymnase CDCN will present country-specific themes and ideas. DeVIR/CAPa organizes the 8th edition of the DeVIR Meetings festival. The latter is divided into 3 sections, themed "a month for the FUTURE" and focusing on the climate crisis and its consequences on a humanitarian level. More information here.
Pavillon ADC will host a choreographic platform Emergentia with three proposals at the Pavillon ADC between 1-12 November 2022. More information here.
Le Gymnase CDCN is organizing Forever Young, France's first dance festival for young audiences, which runs from 15 November to 10 December 2022. The Forever Young Festival, first held in 2006, is France's premier dance festival for young audiences (formerly Les Petits Pas Festival). The current focus is on new works or tours of new works, as well as projects that invite special interaction with the audience, such as participation or immersion. More information here.
Kino Šiška is once again co-organizer of the largest Slovenian festival of contemporary dance CoFestival, which will take place from 25 November to 1 December 2022. More information here.
ICK Dans Amsterdam announces the first edition of their new initiative The Artist is Present. Festival will take place from 9 to 12 November 2022. More information here.
EDN member Lavanderia a Vapore celebrates its 7th anniversary as a residential centre with special performances and events in November. The big party on 12 November starts in the afternoon and goes late into the night, with performances, international shows and the finale DJ. On 18 and 19 November, Lavanderia will host the first research camp called "Wandering Bodies", organised together with the workspace Ricerca X to explore new forms of collaborative practises. The project “Socio-Political Agency of Contemporary Dance“ is a collaboration between The Chocolate Theatеr (New York), Movement Research Inc (New York), New Dramaturgies Platform (Sofia) and EDN members Lokomotiva - Centre for new initiatives in arts and culture (Skopje) and Stanica/Station Service for contemporary dance (Belgrade). The project, divided into two parts (the first exchange took place in October in the Balkans, the second will take place in May 2023 in New York), explores contemporary dance at the intersection of the political and aims to raise awareness of the socio-political agency of artists and their practise.
