Since 2014, EDN offers the possibility for leaders and staff members of the DanceHouses to take part in a job-shadowing exercise of a week to another Dancehouse member.
In 2019, EDN tried out a new version of the Carte Blanche, namely focused on artists. A pilot was implemented focusing on artist mobility and within this Carte Blanche Artist Focus scheme 10 artists were able to visit other member houses, in the context of a festival hosted by one of our member: Moving Futures and B.Motion.
The group of artists is guided by a local mentor, whose function is to serve as a reference point for all artists joining the visit.
This Carte Blanche - Artist Focus aims to strengthen artists' professional development in a European context. After two successful editions, EDN plans to continue offering this unique opportunity to take part in international developments for artists directly.
