Working from and with dancehouses, EDN has focused part of its work on developing the skills of the people involved in making the dancehouses the cornerstone of the contemporary dance ecosystem.
This is the reason why EDN has developed two main lines of work for professionals:
- development of leadership: how can we bring our dancehouses forward? how do we engage with the next challenge, bring stability and continuity in the precarious ecosystem? how can we learn from choreographic practices to make our work and our organisations more sustainable? EDN members bring their know-how together to move the field forward.
- peer learning: with the Carte Blanche initiative, EDN offers the possibility to dancehouses staff members to learn from each other and develop their European network.
